Here is a sneak peek at a piece which shall be in the window at Craft Vic on monday the 26th May. Its the new Goat... one which i feel i have refined since the last Goat in undies, whom i had a fondness for but felt it needed to be slightly different. So he/she is what you can expect to also see over at my etsy shop once i finish the works for the window....(very excited about this exhibition coming up!).

Today Max turned 6!
He has been over the moon all day and woke early with plenty of excitement ( i love seeing the joy they have with their birthday's). So he had a few hours before school which he passed by with his new slot cars and in the afternoon we shared tea and cake with the grannies and grandpa and some of our beautiful family.
There was chocolate, apple, banana cake, puooffenessuas, date rolls, homemade lemonade and chai.
It was a beautiful and small gathering which is what he requested this year.

Whilst reading them a book I ask them a question about the sun which fills the whole page...
(me)...." what makes the sun warm in this picture" ?
(max).... "hydrogen gas"..."fire".
(me)... ok then!!!
thinking they might say 'the yellow and orange'.... nope!

Every afternoon we take Scout for a walk.... if we are not looking like we are then she lets us know ...by scratching at the back door ,aarrrggghhh!!!. I love these walks, they clear the head and the kids have fun either running with her or throwing the kong. Great dog toy that one!
Whilst photographing some penguins at my parents house ( they have good walls and great light) i couldn't help seeing yellow - a reflection of my feelings for the weekend just passed.

One colouring in book complete so now I look for another (what a great present this book has been...thanks Jo :) In the mornings after breakfast and in the evenings while i am preparing dinner, the house falls silent and i find them at their desk chatting away and commenting to one another on how beautiful each picture looks. Maxs' bed has become as colourful as his colouring in this Autumn by an old blanket made by my great grandmother!
